  • Environmental sensitivity: Our processes are designed with respect for the environment, ensuring that anodizing is performed with sustainable practices.

1) What is Anodizing?

Anodizing is an electrochemical process in which the naturally formed aluminum oxide is replaced by a corresponding layer created under fully controlled conditions. This process not only enhances the aluminum’s resistance to corrosion but also offers the possibility of color treatment, improving the final product’s aesthetic appearance.

2) Benefits of Anodizing

  • Corrosion resistance: Anodizing creates a harder and more durable layer on the aluminum surface, making it resistant to weather and chemical corrosion.
  • Aesthetic and color options: Ability to dye with various colors and matte levels to enhance the product’s appearance.
  • Easy maintenance: Anodized aluminum maintains its appearance with minimal care.
  • Environmentally friendly: The anodizing process is non-toxic and produces recyclable materials.

3) The Anodizing Process

The anodizing process includes the following main treatment stages:

  1. Surface preparation: The aluminum is immersed in tanks with appropriate chemicals to remove any contaminants as well as the naturally formed aluminum oxide.
  2. Electrolytic anodizing: The aluminum is placed in a suitable electrolyte solution, where, through the application of current, a protective oxide layer is created on its surface.
  3. Color treatment (optional): At this stage, color can be added by depositing suitable dyes into the pores of the oxide.
  4. Sealing: Finally, the oxide’s pores are sealed, making it resistant to external factors.

4) Applications of Anodizing

Anodizing is applied to a wide range of industrial and architectural products. From structural components to decorative items, the durability and aesthetics of aluminum are significantly enhanced. At Electrovam, we can handle objects up to 7.5 meters in length, making us ideal partners for large industrial and construction applications.

5) Quality and Certifications

Electrovam is committed to the highest quality anodizing services, adhering to international standards. We hold the necessary certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14000, QUALANOD), which guarantee the excellence of our services and the durability, quality, and safety of our products, offering lasting solutions.
